| Firefly: Black Cat Blues - 4.02 Recipe For Disaster, Part 2 |
[May. 14th, 2008|11:04 pm] |
I'm almost completely positive that I'm forgetting a ton of stuff here, which is why I shouldn't let myself get this far behind. So please correct me on all the stuff that I surely left out, players!

| Dog Trainers? |
[May. 14th, 2008|09:40 pm] |
I'm looking for a dog trainer in the Twin Cities / Eden Prairie area. I get a free Puppy class through work (at PetSmart), but I'm looking for some other options.
If you've had an amazing experience with a trainer, in the area, please let me know!
Thanks! :]

Does anybody know of any counselors or psychologists in or near downtown St Paul that are actually accepting new patients? Most of that that I've checked out have at least a 5 week wait. |

| Retrorama at the MN History Center |
[May. 14th, 2008|05:49 pm] |
Due to a change of events, I can no longer go. I've got two tickets if anyone wants to buy them. They cost me $30 for the set but i'll give them to you for $20. That's a hell of a deal. That's even cheaper than MNHC members get. If you are interested, email me at spinler at gmaildotcom.

I'm a student at the U if that makes a difference. I really need another job this summer to earn some money for tuition. I thought i had one lined up but it fell through. |

I saw the doc today, and I talked about my spring lethargy. It seems I have mood swings every spring, like clockwork. I did some self reflection recently, and only just came to the conclusion that my mood & symptoms are seasonal. I've had no motivation to do anything for a while. Anyway, she upped the dosage of everything, Lamictal, Trazedone and Topamax, and hopefully, this will help with my lethargy & apathy.
I've lost my happy. has anybody seen it recently?
My seasonal mood swings also may be somewhat related to the death of my cat in 2005. I had my second major breakdown then (the first being at Redeemer), and I've had a mood crash ever spring since then. Last spring was relatively minor, since I was medicated, but I still remember having mood swings. My mother refuses to believe it has anything to do with my bipolar. She says my allergies are affecting my mood. The doc says that's ridiculous. |

| Local biking programs |
[May. 14th, 2008|10:18 am] |
This morning I attended the downtown gathering for Bike Walk to Work Day at the Hennepin County Government Center. I got some information about a couple of interesting biking programs: Bike2Benefits and the Metro Transit Commuter Challenge. Bike2Benefits is co-sponsored by Metro Transit, but it is separate from the Commuter Challenge that Metro Transit is also running. The Metro Transit Commuter Challenge runs from April 1 to June 30, but Bike2Benefits runs for any consecutive eight weeks you pick until the end of the year. BOTH programs offer an opportunity for you to win prizes (laptops, iPods, gift certificates, etc). I've signed up for both. Bike2Benefits in particular has a very nice website program. Once you have signed up, they will send you a packet of information and (if you request it) a map showing the route from your home to your workplace. Then you can use the website to keep track of your mileage, and it will tell you how much money you have saved, how much CO2 you have reduced, and how much air quality pollutants you have reduced. |
