The lawyers who are jerks just make it impossible for anyone to do anything anymore. (I know some people who are Lawyers and are nice and would not pull a stunt like this.)

There was a lawsuit a decade or two ago. A Washington DC lawyer sued a waitress for calling him "honey". She was your basic southern lady who called everyone "honey".

I wish I could remember more about it now ...

I recall a (same?) story about a cashier at a Capitol Hill cafeteria (perhaps THE cafeteria for Congress) getting the "sexual harassment" treatment for calling men either 'honey' or 'baby.' FYI, as long as you treat everyone the SAME (call both sexes the same names), you're off the hook as far as the legal definition of sexual harassment is concerned. Of course, anything anyone could remotely infer as alluding to something slightly sexual in nature can land you in hot water at any corporation. Try it! Get someone fired today! ;-P

That sounds right to me ... if I remember correctly the judge stomped the guy flat and told him to get out of his courtroom.
